The spirits from Rijeka-based Vergilas Craft Distillery achieved outstanding success at the prestigious London Spirits Competition 2026, winning five medals that confirm the exceptional quality of their spirits and liqueurs.
The 2026 London Spirits Competition officially concluded its ninth edition. The competition is unique in that its expert judging panel evaluates spirits not only based on quality, but also on value for money and the appearance of the packaging, giving the awards additional commercial significance. The ninth edition attracted entries from 30 countries around the world, with a strong presence from the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Italy, the United States, Mexico and the Netherlands, further confirming the global significance of the spirits industry.
This year’s judging panel brought together more than 70 leading industry professionals, including master distillers, mixologists and elite buyers, whose extensive experience across different sectors ensured a comprehensive evaluation of every entry.
Among numerous labels from around the world, two WHITEHEAD spirits, HAZELNUT LIQUEUR and BARRIQUE TERANINO, were awarded gold medals, while PREMIUM PELINKOVAC, PREMIUM AGED GIN and PREMIUM RIČINA received bronze medals.
