The herbs used are traditionally harvested in the vicinity of Rijeka, and their medicinal properties have been known for centuries. Their full potential is realized when macerated in brandy, and timely harvesting is also key to preserving their potency, which gives this brandy its special character. Herbs harvested around the Rječina, such as sage and thyme, provide powerful antiseptic properties, making it the best folk remedy for “clearing the system” early in the morning or after a meal.
